Measuring Tips
Layout Size and Shape of your custom chairmat. Measure the workspace to be covered by the chairmat. Be sure to allow about one inch of clearance around obstacles (such as desk legs or pedestals). This accommodates 2" radius to be routed in mat, allows margin for error and enables easier installation of the mat. This clearance will not affect the usefulness of the mat because chair casters cannot reach that close to obstacles. To assist in measurement, apply masking tape to the carpet around the area to be covered by the chairmat. Then simply measure the tape lengths. |
